No Idea if anyone has posted any, but you can search any part of these forums to find keywords.

For example, if you go to the top right of this page and click on "search this thread", you can enter your desired search terms, which in this case is Q9450 or 9450 and hit "go".

You can also search individual forums, or there is an advanced search that you can access from the button at the top of the forum that says "search"

Sure i`ll try... I like the effort that people are overclocking the DDR2 memory, enthusiasts and all that, get a few 100 points or marks on something then we go into real world and notice that between DDR2 800Mhz and DDR3 2000Mhz is a difference of *upto* 10 frames a seconds on games at general Res and probably little difference on apps... so to pay more because of uping the volts and to add heat in the case is ok to test but mine will be having a cool life with shades on....the CPU on the other hand is in for a shock (This is a general point of view based on Memory reviews) But extreme tweaking rules

I'm not sure what your point is.

But anyway, have a lovely evening.

Default Update

Just an update to say that my GA-X38-DQ6 is still running rock solid at 4.005 Ghz since the 21st of March. The E8400 is an excellent partner with this motherboard. I also have added vista ultimate to the mix as a dual boot system with 8 Gigs of ram. It also runs rock solid and I have had no problems with either os with this overclock.

That's good going rhansme. I'm finding the wolfdales are liking the Gigabyte X48T DQ6 as well. With 8 Mgb think you should be ok , do you do a lot of video work or are you just taking advantage of the relatively cheap £ ??

luck

I just took advantage of the cheap prices for DDR2 at the moment. I mostly listen to music and use it for work, but no video editing or such. I built up an X48-DQ6 for a friend with the E8400 and it is working great also. It is only clocked to 3.6 but it is on air and he is not that concerned with the higher FSB. He just wants to play his games and surf the web. The Gskill ram seems to like this board and all 8 gigs run great at 2.1V. The help from this forum was great and makes me glad that I purchased the Gigabyte product. After my dissapointment with the MSI P6N Diamond, it was nice to find a good product with updated bios, and support.

Cheers m8 glad we helped , until I got the X38 DQ6, i'd not used Gigabyte, However both the DQ6 boards have been excellent, great build quality without the silly £ that Asus seem to be charging.

Is there any chance to force flash x48-dq6 BIOS in x38-dq6 1.0 motherboard?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Fernandz,
Welcome to the forum
I don't really see why you should want to ??
The x38 now has a choice of fairly mature biios. I'm running with the X48T , so am unaware of any huge advantage that the bios of the X48 DDR2 would have , especially on the x38.
Is there something you know about ??

luck

The x48-dq6 BIOs is recently with more updating frequency because it's the top of this line. In the inmediate future this situation can be worse for the X38-dq6 (with almost a month without update in BIOS) and if this cross flash can be done, we will ensure for better BIOS support. The DPC audio latency problem fix (x48-dq6 Bios F7d) or the Fix FSB adjust bug with the E8200, E8400 and Q9450 CPUs (x48-dq6 Bios F7d) are two examples with the x38-dq6 in BIOS silence (partially corrected audio latency in private F9b).

And certain quantity of "just for test"
