Update: okay....i really need longer
sata cables so i can have better cable mngt. because in the mists of all this, (and clumped up cables) i failed to see that my 2nd dvd drive was unplugged. was this the problem? maybe? maybe not? who knows?! but it fixed it.
i did another walk through to make sure everything was plugged in, still nothing. so i had it powered on and was just jacking with the front bezzle as ppl walked by my desk today and saw my rig. so i hit the button on my 2nd dvd drive to open it....nothing. i check "My Computer" to see if it's even recognized, nothing. hmmm...powered down, AGAIN...checked my ALL my
sata cables and then saw that it was disco'd...i connect the cable and re-reseated (my new word) everything, and powered back on and all is fine now.
weird that it would be related to that, but oh well! it's fixed!
i appreciate the help ace and s'shanks!
