great stuff I was up at 6 had toi run wife to work. , usually have breakfast & go back to bed

Well I hope that's me sorted
Just got Enzotech - Low profile Chipset block SLF-1 For Southbridge looks great + low profile.
Enzotech Mosfet Heatsink - MOS-C1 Got 2 packs, thery won't waste. their 6.5mm square base so i've a feeling they might fit as 2 rows, giving 13mm that's 2.5mm narrower than the thermalright stuff.

Tried to get Sekisui #5760 Double-sided Thermal Adhesive Tape but their out of stock, managed to get some on Ebay. Hust need a Waterblock now

Thanks for the link. M8

Try These :-
You should be able to do better than that. Havve basically put your memtest SpD values into the bios order, and added notes were you should be able to improve.
Code:
Standard Timing Control
CAS Latency Time: : 5
DRAM RAS# to CAS# : 5
DRAM RAS# Precharge : 5
Precharge Delay(tRAS) : 15 (15-10 inclusive should be fine)
Advanced Timing Control
ACT to ACT Delay(tRRD) : 3
Rank Write to READ Delay : 11 (You Might get away with as low as 98)
Write To Precharge Delay : 14
Refresh to ACT Delay : 50 (30~35 should be ok)
Read To Precharge Delay : 3
tRD : Auto for FSB 266 to 399 , 7 >= 400 , 8  > 475
tRD Phase Adjustment : Auto
Command to #CS Timing: : Auto
see how you go with them.
luck

ok... i don't see how it would be so much of a problem, i mean the memory itself is rated at PC9600 5-5-5-15, so it's technically not overclocked... but ok i'll test it and come back with the results.

First I'd like to say thanks. This blog has been a great resource.

I currently have an X38 DQ6, E8400 OCed to 3.85GHz, and 4 gigs of Kingston HyperX KHX8500D2K2/1G (Can't post URLs ATM)
I'm having NO PROBLEMS at all.

let memtest for ~ 25 hours, ran prime95 for ~14, played Crysis for about 6 hours the other day. all with 0 errors, air cooled.

I wanted to know if there was anyway i could push it further. Maybe 4.0 or higher?

Again this blog has been a great help.

I'll post BIOS settings when i get home, currently at work

Probably I'm running a E8200 at 520x7.5 at the moment, so your E8400 has plenty more potential hopefully

Sorry i'd assumed you were talking about 8500 ram. The only post you mention your ram was here on 27-02-2008, 21:00 , that's why it's better if you can put your specs either in your signature or in the User CP - Extra Options section. Thanks

What voltage are tyou running them on & what cooling are yiou using ??
luck
