Hi X-Kenshin-X,

it's not the memory shanks, because the ONLY test i've run so far, is the small FFT, in order to isolate the processor as the only culprit...........
|
?? sorry I don't understand that logic, I've not tested the memory so it's not that that's causing issues
hi Padantic ,
Wow some storm, that's bad

Latency is actually worse. Supershanks can you run Everest cache and memory benchmark and post the results. Just the 3 Latency settings will do.
|
Sorry would love to but i'm on the other thread at the minute I'm running this Gigabyte GA X48T DQ6 , perhaps one of the other guys can help you ??
If not I've put a few everest screen shots up on the various bench marks , check out in the main index post#1
luck

I seem to piss it off and need to tell it to load the default optimum "I know I am spelling it wrong" settings to get it to act right again. For example I can crank it up to 3.9Ghz and will have to pump up the voltage to 1.55v~ then if I want to go back down to 3.6Ghz I can't get it stable if I try to turn the voltage back down to 1.38v~ which is what it is happy with if I set the defaults and work it up to 3.5Ghz~ then once it reboots because it needs more juice I bump it to that and wula it is happy as can be... I hope this helps you, I fealt it might by looking at your post.
Hell you might even want to clear your cmos the hard way if you haven't alredy, take out the battery and leave a short on the clear cmos jumper with it unplugged course for about ten minutes.. Then put everything back and see if she is acting better.

I would listen to this exspecially when changing memory as you are.

Fine , but that was5~6 weeks ago ?? Running 24/7 at 1200Mhz puts quite a lot of heat on that memory , things do deteriorate. I'd personally check it again & would probably use either Memtest HCI which can test in windows as well as memtest86+ or prime LargeFFts.

Thermalright Mossfet Cooler Compatability
Just doing a bit of digging looking for a pwm cooler if i put a waterblock on my Northbridge, together with ckirkby3's
Quote:

They are too wide if i force them in ill end up damaging the components surrouding the area
|
Looking at this page Technical Specs You can see from the width that all units are 15.5mm wide. I have a HR-09U & a HR-09S Type 2 & can prove the following:-
1) They are 15.5mm wide
2) Both are 2 wide to fit a DQ6 as ckirkby3 stated.
This leaves me seriously puzzled by the Link in the compatability page
Gigabyte Dq6 (scroll down) is shown to require the HR-09 U TYPE2.
I'm contacting Thermalright about this as there's no way that these appear to be compatable.

Give me a shout buddy as to what they say. Apparently someone emailed them asking them about compatibility and the email went like...

Will do
If result is
then why are they showing it as being compatable in therlink here Thermalright Compatability, It's one thing not to provide something, it's another to claim something fits when it doesn't.

Sorry that's what confused me I wasn't sure if you meant bios or Board revision. I'm nott sure if the revision on CPU-Z refers to the Board or the Chipset. With the board revision it's on the board itself. Not the greatest shot to see it but you cabn see it in the top left corner of ther board, above the left PCI Slot, in this shot:-
