Default Oh Yeah

There is certainly more headroom on this thing. Now up to 3.8 with over 5 hours of prime95. It is rock solid and the temps are very nice. I have updated the screenshot above. I will be pushing it further tonight after work. I had it to 3.9 and it booted fine but would not run prime for more than 5 minutes. I am not certain of the safe range of voltages that I can push this Wolfdale to yet, and I also need to spend some more time crusing the forums at what others settings are at. This board is mature enough that most of the guess work has been done for me!

I've now got it up to slightly over the 4.0 Ghz barrier! I will post my specs here a little later. I am currently running Orthos to make sure it is stable. Shanks is there a utility that I can grab my bios settings with out the need to hand type them in?

No sorry mate best i can do is this Bios Template - Gigabyte GA X38 DQ6 Copy & paste it into post , then add your settings

@rhansme - Thanks for taking the trouble to share the settings , together with Zenoth's will provide a giod base for other wolfdale owners

@ace not sure m8 sorry guess the spare x16 should but not for sure.

That card doesn't actually use 8x bandwidth, even with 8x SATA II drives installed.

It should also work in any physical 16x slot, and depending on the bandwidth available, and number of drives used, should be fine

found a post over at XS that the user said the Areca 1210 card worked on giga's X38 board.

i just ordered giga's X48 DDR3 board for $330 clams!...i will have it next week sometime.

Haha ordered mine friday so will have mine as well What memory you getting with that m8??
I'm just hoping my replacemernt Celshock arrive about the same time, were posted from Ireland , last thursday ., so fingers crossed
