Just ensure you select AHCI access mode in bios before attempting the installation.
when your installation is complete update to the latest drivers

Your right you just need to enable the AHCI mode in the
bios and then boot in vista...Vista will then install the drivers and reboot. You don't need to provide the drivers like you had to do with XP :-)
about my o'c with
bios F8d I think I found the right ratio performance/voltage....
I'm hitting a wall at 3.52 - 8x442x (1.425-v1.45) , 2.66d :-) prime at 58-63C
If I drop the
vcore it reboots a soon as I run small fft's (8k)...I'm getting ultra big huge vdroop !!!!
I set the GTLREF to Auto but the default was -3% I'm wondering what is the best for vdroop
(ballistix=really flexible memory by the way I was able to run them over 1200)
To be able to run it over 3.6 I need to increase the voltage like crazy..around 1.525+ (besause of droop when priming) and getting temps 70-75C+
