yep running >1000 needs 5,5,5,?? I can manage with a tras (=??) of 10 on my crucial 8500

try Setting here & if it fails Precharge Delay(tRAS) : = 10 --> 11 & test ---> 12 & test if needed

Optional :-
Quote:
CPU/PCIEX Clock Driving Control: 800mV---> Try 1000Mv
Quote:
PCI-E OverVoltage Control: +0.05v --> Try 0.35v
FSB OverVoltage Control: +0.10v ---> Try 0.20v
(G)MCH OverVoltage Control: +0.25v ---> Try 0.175v

Just curious, what are DDR Ref, DDR Term Volt Control & MCH Ref Volt Control used for?
I've never had to touch them, tried them but did rock all basically, for me,

luck

Cool!

After making those changes on my timings from 15 to 12 and upping my voltages on FSB and NB, I noticed that after saving the BIOS my PC didn't power down this time. It was more of a graceful reboot. Before it was powering down and then it would charge back up. Interesting.

I'll stress test it this weekend and see how it goes.

After I get a solid 10 to 12 hours or testing, without errors...do I graduate to video overclocking?

Thanks again, supershanks!

I may have to break my hiatus and pour myself a glass of Red Chimay to celebrate, providing everything goes well.

I think I have no chance...3.4 is good at 1.375 vcore to get higher I have to crank the voltage too high like 1.450v to 1.500v :-)~~~ and the temps gettings crazy a bit over 60C....

I will try later if I get new memory :-)

bowing the water block is explained here :-)

Thank's for the info on bowing, no i don'T have in the past tested cpu ihs & blocks by applying a thin layer of paste & putting it against a piece ogf glasss to check flatness, but have gone no further.

We mentioned that before by upping some of the other voltages as i suggested in earlier posts . pci-e over voltage control , I always ran on 0.35v , upping FSB 0.20v is good, (G) Mch to around 0.175~0.200v Means you can get away with lowering CPU voltage.

It's not an exact science though, as everyone's parts are different. you need to do some tweaking to find the best settings for your parts. All we can do is tell you what worked for us & hopefully give you some pointers.

luck
