i have 4gb of ddr2 on my xp setup...it can see 3.25 of the 4...i read a post from someone who seemed to be in the know that basically said the OS will use the remaining 0.75 for itself....it is just the 3.25 that is available to installed software.

you mean to tell my that you paid 430 pounds for memory..or..was it the equivalent in pounds for $430 USD???

but $629.99/$1.96/£ = £321 , sorry puts me back in the stupid class again
I'm a hardware hussy but i'm cheap 2gb will do for mnow

RMA from Option ROM Issue & Jmicron Controller was about 8 days banging my head with foxconn support , who were blaming the drives & everything else but the board. Got a replacement board this last Friday. Only got that thanks to Shamino see post #12 here
spent the weekend trying to match the stable clock i had earlier before pressing on , still not made it
