ok...i see that you were talking about SB voltage..apparently, they give it a dual meaning..on my abit board, i have SB voltage and SB core voltage...i am thinking DFI is referring to SB core voltage as CPU PLL...what do you think about that interpretation?

That sounds about right, maybe there is some kind of relationship between the two and they decided to link them?...like GTLRef and VTT?

I will email the DFI techie and find out the ins and outs, it's always nice to know what these things do exactly

Me too, it gets a bit confusing trying to work out how they all relate or not whichever the case may be.

Ther's no PLL on the abit bios , but Asus have CPU Pll since the P5k I think, Max safe setting is 1.6v. Other boards have the equivalent as SB CPU PLL
Asus & Gigabyte also term VTT as FSB Termination Volts.

Nice whaen things is simple

Very confusing isnt it? and potentially you could damage your rig with similar terms which essentially do different things depending on your board?

As soon as he gets back to me, I'll post the info here.

Anyone here have any idea what the cpu vtt voltage and the clockgen voltage refer to?
Im unsure on those two, Ive searched google/forums etc for a definitive answer but have found a lot of contradicting info on them.
