I don't have direct CrossfireX experience, but the bridge really is nothing but a DVI link that sends the rendered frames over to the card connected to the monitor, and therefore you need 2 cables only for resolutions higher than 1920x1200.
At least that's what i heard.

Yes I 've not that much experience on it I must admit. I'm running on a 20" widescreen at 1680x1050 probably about avereage these days, so that shouldn't be a factor.
As I say it wouldn't work on the DFI UT P45-T3RS, with only one. Yet it's working here with x1. Only difference is that the X58 is fully 2x16 PCIE. Still I'm glad it saves's me messing about looking for a 2nd lomger bridge

Default 4,200 21x200 Ram x8 8-8-8-

4,200 21x200 Ram x8 1,680 8-8-8-21
Thought I'd develop the 4.2Ghz above by upping the ram to x8 instead of x6.

Benches

Overlapped Nuclearus with PCmark06, sorry, total is 25,689. Which seems a little odd given that at x6 1,260Mhz with same cpu speed I got 27,668. so only thing to fall is ram latency. 38.6 from 34.6 though bandwidth has increased at the higher speed.

Stability
As Previous ~3 minutes

Bios Changes
All as 4,200 21x200 Ram x6 6-6-6-20
Except:-
CAS Latency Time (tCL).........: 6 --> 8
RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRP).......: 6 --> 8
RAS# Precharge (tRP)...........: 6 --> 8
Precharge Delay (tRAS).........: 20 --> 21

DRAM Frequency.................: BCLK*06 MHz --> *08
Uncore Frequency...............: BCLK*12 MHz --> *16

Default Quick Start Guide

Quick Start Guide

1) Memory Configuration

Bottom line if running with <=3 modules use Dimm1/3/5 Green Slots. This is a chipset thing, yellow slots are only populated when running >3 modules.

2)Turbo Mode

3) PCI-E Config

4) Emergency or OH_SH1T Buttons
[HOME] Key Press to power on ystem Bios will recover BCLK to standard.
[INSERT] Key Press on power up, loads default settings.
Case[Power] and [Reset] or board [Power] and [Reset] buttoms - press keys together for around 5 seconds
to clear cmos.

5) Voltages What voltages you use are down to you , but we often get asked what are the safe voltages.
Vcore Around 1.45v Though in fairness you'll need at least water cooling to support the temps generated.
Vtt Voltage 1.65v
CPU PLL max = 1.88v
Dram Voltage max is 1.65v probably the more crucial , the memory controller is on the CPU now , running at the same dram voltage. So running > 1.65v can now seriously damage your CPU

Can you use SATA 2 latching type cables with this board, that lock?

I notice that on my X38 DFI motherboard SATA ports, the A.C Ryan latch ones that I am using do not work well on this board.

I've got some silverstone ones and they work fine. What's the problem with the ACryan ones?

Moving these posts to the living review thread.
