I just experienced for the 1st time the PC Probe missread out. 1st, only in MB as it pinged to 130c. Oddly this happened directly after moving to HTPC cse w/ better air circulation. It has modded through type air tunnel that directs cool forced air directly
RAM,
CPU, and Chipset + mosfets (
SB included, since it is fed by heatpipe into
NB + rear
mosfet assy.) All system probed temps dropped over -5c but yet Probe started misreading.
Still on
BIOS 0701, I uninstalled PC Probe as it was acting up, (not even reading
RAM probes on OPT sensor 1&2 anymore), then reinstalled and it seams to be OK for now (12hrs and testing).
Does anybody know the location of the MB sensor so to make sure it is not getting a heat draft or something?
Anybody know where the core clock generator is (the
ic chip) so I can copper sink it if not already. This helped steady out the clock flux at high
FSB on many of my other ASUS.
Thankx!
