is ftp.asus.com.tw just the worst ftp site of all times or am I lucky I get through about 1 in 5 times the other 5 the site just never connects, feels like its on a 2400buad modem.

Tried 702 last night. BIG BIG MISTAKE. System will now not start at all, no matter what combination of RAM I use I cannot get past the "DET RAM" POST. I cannot even get up and running to downgrade BIOS.

Anyone got any ideas short of throwing the board in the bin !!

Decided to try some different RAM with my Maximus Formula SE.

I've currently got 4x 1GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz modules which now won't work at all in any combination. Although they did work fine for a week with all 4 installed.

What have other people got or tried with this board. For now just looking to buy a couple of decent 1GB sticks to get system up and running. Ideally they would need to be stable at 450MHz as I'm still looking at an 8x450 overclock on my Q6600 G0 CPU.

What would people recommend.

I am currently with the bios 0505. On the official website of Asus, the 0602 is online. In terms of performance, this new bios is it reliable?

Where exactly us 0702? I can't only find up to 0701 on the FTP?

Does anyone else think Asus really dropped the ball with this one? Motherboard with so much potential, but the worst bios programming in a long while...?
