i have 150 Points more with a GTS ! and i dont have a chiller or mods ,..
2 or 4 GB Ram are pointles for 3DM06 ,...
take the new drivers and u catch me for shure

Try it with and without the RAM

It said water at 16c on the results? Something is chilled, maybe the room?

I'll try those drivers tomorrow, thanks

    Hi,

I'm also having a little fsb problem with this board, anything over 425 fsb and the board will either not boot, or boot but only see 2 cores (q6600 G0). I have tried 6-7-8 even 9 multiplier and none will boot properly, I'm really scatching my head on this.

My PSU is kind of weak, 480W Asaka, but higher fsb shouldn't demand different power right?

Oh, regarding the tip on the stock thermal paddings of NB and SB, would simpling replacing them with some proper TIM be wise? NB runs at 50oC-ish at 1.35v so I think I should really do something about it.

Although I'm pretty happy with 9x400 for 3.6ghz which is very easily obtainable with this board, but I want to at least be able to bench 8x450 for comparison, and also maybe 9x435+ one day if I upgrade to watercooling.

Sorry for long winded first post and hi to all

    Welcome to the forums

Replacing the Thermal concrete should be easy enough, but you might need to double check that the heatpipes aren't bent, so the heatsinks sit flat when you put it back on, as the old stuff is quite thick.

No idea yet on the PSU situation, I'm going to swap mine out again for something else this week, but I'm not sure what yet

Have you tried adding some voltage to the NB? I found that mine needed a lot to hit similar clocks to the P5K.

I tried 1.69 for nb just to see if works but no luck, still when it boots it says "Count: 2" instead of 4.

I had a PSK-premium before I had this (RMAed it for this due to sata problems), and 8x450 was fine on similar settings.

I'm just hoping it's a bios problem and not something i have to RMA, in fact can I even RMA a board based on the reason of "FSB can't go up so I can't overclock"?

Yeah I tried that plus tweaked with nearly all settings besides the SB voltage and DDR2 REF ones. No luck still

Going to phone my retailer today (they're just 20min away from me) and see if they are willing to test themselves. edit: Bah "tech guy" not in till monday >.<
