i try it now wit my new silencer 750W quad psu need 500 fsb @ cold start

.. by the way I have a question, when I turn on my PC, it turns on then turns off automaticaly after 2-3 seconds, then 2-3 seconds later it turns on again and works, I guess this is a normal thing?

jea thise is cald the "bood bug" i have the same issue on my p5b delux ,..
ok i installed the new bios but looks like nothing have changed,... no post over 480 now ,.... damn it how can i get 500 ?!?!??!

Just noticed theirs a new 0602 BIOS on the official Asus Forum.

Well just bit the bullet and loaded up the new 0602 BIOS and after having the same memory problems that seem to be plagueing loads of other people I have immediately been able to boot with an 8x multiplier and a 450MHz FSB (on Q6600 G0 processor). I had been able to use these settings for about a week before things started to go wrong, then couldn't get system to boot with anything above 400Mhz FSB.

Next I need to try putting back in my other 2x 1GB modules (total of 4x 1GB).
Might wait a while before doing this as not wonderfully confident on this one and don't want a repeat of last few days issues.

Has anyone noticed Windows XP reporting the wrong processor speed.

In "My Computer ---> Properties" the screen shows me running at 4.05GHz.
CPU-Z reports the speed correctly at 3.6GHz (8x multipler with 450MHz FSB)

Has anyone else got this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?
