It's No Wonder the Post Office Are In Trouble

The other day, I sent a reasonably heavy parcel via Parcelforce to Germany, about 2KG. This cost £16.99 and they collected it from my house and it was in Germany within 2 working days.

Today I went into the Post Office with a much smaller, lighter parcel, going to the same address in Germany using the same Parcelforce 48 service, £29. She double checked it and it was indeed £29.

So I asked her why it was £29 from the PO, yet 16.99 when PF collect from my house, she had no answer, but looked quite annoyed that I'd questioned it.

Parcel2go/parcelforce got my business again. Sad really.

Last year my m8 was after a old 'Hacker valve record player' that was on e-bay. The 'seller' did not want to post it to him so I thought 'that was that'. Anyway my m8 was determined and offered to pay the postage to have it collected. This cost a total of 17 quid via 'Parcel Force' which I thought was quite amazing.

You all forget something: you have to pay for the air inside the parcel, next year there will be an airTAX.......

Clunk, used Parce2Go both times recently to send psu,s back to Holland and Germany.
As you will be aware they are based in Bolton Lanc,s near us.
Started using them because, when I went to use DHL and at the parcel desk the guy pulled me to one side and said his wife sends all her stuff by p2g it,s a hell of a lot cheaper and its the same company-don,t know if that,s a fact as I rather think they act as agents don,t they.
But they do what they say they can do -at a hell of a cheaper quote and it,s rather nice too have the DHL man collect instead of hauling heavy parcels to the respective offices.
    P2G have my recommendation too.

It was Parcel2go that ballsed it up, they hadn't booked the collections properly, apparently

I've been using the home delivery network, they've been much more reliable at picking up recently.
