The goslings or whatever they were looked cool mate, great pic, they don't mind you getting so close? Where is Jenny's Well? Worth a look? Gonna be up there on the 26th July...... in fact, anything you'd recommend seeing while I'm there? Been to Dunrobin Castle, a few distilleries, Moniak Winery, Shin Falls, Betty Hill, John O' Groats, Cromarty............

Mum and dad not to pleased sometimes. Jenny's well is on the cliff walk between Cullen and Portknockie. If you get a chance try and go along the B9176 Struie hill road -pick it up just after leaving Evanton > travel to nearly the end of the road where you begin to drop down and you will find a 'viewpoint overlooking the Dornoch Firth -- makes for a 'spectacular photo' on a sunny day. Various little harbours on the a9 road Lyster Sarclet etc and going south various places round about Inverness Culloden Battlefield worth a look.

Another fantastic pic mate.

Went to Culloden last time I was up there but it looked a bit dull from outside, just seemed like a big field covered in gorse, and as they wanted £4 for the car park and I think £13 to get in, I didn't bother. £17 to look at a field seemed excessive to me. Been over the Struie before but it was in the dark..... will certainly check it out in daylight this time.... gonna get some pics of the causeways over some of the firths there, the Dornoch one in particular I like. Just remembered about all the clan stones as well, there are some pretty cool ones aren't there...... and then there's that highland clearance trail that has some good stuff along the way...... should be a busy few weeks what with the mountains as well. And we found the best curry place in the world last time in Alness......... can't wait!

£17 is probably the payback rate for Englishmen. :P

My sister did the West Highland Way a couple of years back, not bad going for a sixty year old. I did my Duke of Edinburgh's Gold up around Loch Duich many many years ago, lots of nice area around there. Though the team weren't to pleased with my route planning as we started off with really steep climb up the side of a waterfall. Bunch of wussies, it was only about five or six hundred feet but it was more or less straight up.

You're probably right, bloody English!

My sister's chap did the West Highland Way too last year and is going again this year. It looks pretty nice, but I'm a bit wary of committing myself to 5 or 6 days of pain. Aye, not bad at all for a 60 year old!
