The temps will depend on your cooling, airflow and room temps. A you are in a hot room, then it's probably best to try and keep things under 80c. Also, if you want to reduce temps further, you can disable Hyperthreading in the BIOS, but you will lose 4x threads worth of performance in benches and multithreaded apps.

If i only ran prime95 for 3 minutes and it got to 76c how high do you think it would get for 1 hour of running prime95?


I will buy a 200mm fan for the side and a 140mm fan for the bottom of the case. I hope it helps.

My memory is 1600mhz but i can only set it to 1391 due to the way it works out so im gonna have a mess with my multi and see what i can do to get it closer . B4 i start would it be better to use a higher multi with a lower fsb or vise versa and with the co/c1 stepped cpu ive read that 1.3v is the volt to try and stay below is this correct or can i go up to 1.35v without frying my cpu?

It depends how hot your room temp is and how good the airflow and cooling is. These are the kind of questions that it's impossible for me to answer because your room temp is very hot, much more than it ever gets here and much hotter than is ideal fro running an overclocked rig in.

Regarding the temps, I can only advise to either try and lower the voltage, get a better cooler, try and reduce your room temp in some way, make sure that there is good airflow in your case by removing cable clutter etc.

Your system specs says 1333MHz, that's why I thought you have 1333MHz memory

It depends on your individual CPU. Some people find that their C0 will match a D0, but some (like me) found that theirs ran very hot.

I would recommend that you experiment a little first and see what kind of temps you are seeing with 1.3v and take it from there.

Never mind it was only saying that i have set up with 18x multi and a fsb of 200 so im @3.6Ghz with my memory now at 1600mhz so its now time to open occt and see if i pass.

Well ive noticed that im needing more vcore @ 3.6Ghz 200 x18 multi than i did @ 3651Ghz with 174 x21 even tho its a little less than b4. So does a higher fbs and a lower multi put more stress on the cpu as my vcore is now at 1.3v and i fail occt with less than 20 mins to go i guess more nb v may be required.
