DDR3 memory 1600-2000mhz timings
Had rma'ed the Striker II Extreme and became an board back but, the memory isn't working anymore as it should be!
Has overhere the Buffalo FSI1800D3G-2GK which was working well on the board I rma'ed, managed even to get 2000mhz!
No, I don't like OCZ or Corsair, had already my share of DDR3 problems with them, still Corsair is the better one but also Corsair money..................its very, very expensive overhere in Holland, between $200 - 300.
On the new board I managed to run with the Buffalo FSI1800D3G-2GK 1333mhz with 9-9-9-24-cl1 timings, 1,68 volts.
What ever I try, I can't get the memory higher then 1333mhz.
With 1600mhz/1800mhz 9-10-10-25-cl2-trc35 1,90 volts (1600mhz) or 2.0 volts (1800mhz) the system will try to boot without crying out the systemspeaker, but thats all. Every other setting is immidiatly an cry out the systemspeaker!
Has tried several TRFC settings but it seems to have no impact om the memory.
I know, I know, the Striker II Extreme is famous concerning the memory-divider which seems to be different on every board.
Anyone anywhere suggestions?

Can you pls fill up your system spec in your profile??
It will be really easier for us to understand.
Also if you can grab a bios Template for your board and fill it up too it will be nice. XD
Now, the problem is: you RMAed your Striker extreme II extreme, and they sent it back to you (the same or a new one??) and the memory wont go as they are supposed to do.. is that right??

Yep, DDR3.............. :-( but it isn't the same board, the common practice is that you get an 'repaired' board, mostly wrong flashed biosses, not really damaged hardware.
Every motherboard manufacturer will do it the same way, it's an common practice.
Will fill in my specs.

Maybe the memory is bad? It really could be anything though with a Striker II

Like I earlier stated it is the same memory as with the old board, memory bad? NO!
Memory cheap and the quality cheep (but I believe quality Micron chips are build-in)? YES
Buffalo is one of, not to say IS, the leading manufacturers in Japan, not so well known in the 'west'.
All my findings are pointing to the timings in combination with the !@#$%^&*( divider.
Has search the internet for timings but everywhere they are only stating the first 3/4 values and I need more, esspecially the TR FC value.

I know what you stated, but it can only be one of two things - If it was working in your old board, but not in the new one, it has to be either a dead or dying memory stick or another faulty board - The Striker II is such a problematic board, it's difficult to know where to start.
D9 based memory can and does deteriorate and this can be suddenly or it can be gradual and the symptoms can vary from board to board. I'm not saying that this is definitely what's happened here, but it certainly looks like a possibility.

Hee, thought that the D9 where the best chips ever?
Well, has already ran several times Everest stability test whitout any errors - only the temps on air.......
has ran 3dmark06 whitout any errors, has ran PCmarkVantage whitout any errors (is an very critical, demanding program), has ran Linpack (2/3 lines) but aborted the test because of the (overclock) temperatures.
Managed whitout any overclock to ran Linpack 20 lines whitout errors.
I know, I know, have to build the WC in, still on air.
I don't believe it is the memory, stupid of me I forgot to save the setup from the old board and I don't remember the timings anymore, has cost 3 months before the board was replaced :-(
Only still know that the timings where very strange, I am trying every day now for 2 weeks but can't find the right settings.
And I forgot to mention the most, not to say the very most important thing: FSX ran endly with all sliders to the right, its beautiful!
The reason is the QX9770 with the fsb of 1600mhz, what an improvement..................
It's bed time overhere, will see you tomorrow.

The D9 ICs were some of the best clocking chips. Not the best for longevity. The benchmarks you are running and passing is with the ram underclocked? If so they are telling nothing about the condition of the ram. Without other memory or a different board you are kind of stuck with no way out.
