Good going , what software did you use to read the CPU temps?
And is it really 24/7 stable? Did you use OCCT, Prime 95, Linpack or some other program to test?

Default Benching software and temps

The CPU temps are from Asus Probe..I could use CPU temp also and Core Temp which is more important.

Bench tests are done with : Everest, 3D Mark Vantage 06, Crysis CPU/GPU Bench /Far Cry 2 Bench/ and the one I find that tells me this works or not , believe it or not...Flight Simulator X..... if the overrclock is junk, this game will crash it guaranteed

If you want I could post all of these, but is it possible to upload photos here without using the 'URL"..can't you upload images like any other website?

Meanwhile I'll download "Core Temp"

Yes very stable 24/7......like I said.."The Speed Step/Turbo Boost" idles at 2.4 GHZ so when your not using it , it sits quiet..so it isn't overclocked all the time only on demand, then it goes up to 4.2Ghz... I think this is a really neat feature that people have overlooked about their Core i7

Cheers, Hermes

You post images like this: [**IMG]http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh231/Kelainefes/Funny/Bucket.jpg[/IMG**] but without the asterisks.
Anyway OCCT 3 in Linpack mode is a very quick (less than half an hour) way of knowing if the OC is stable or not; the temps are high when you use it, but since you seem to be on the safe side it should be alright.

Default Works great but temps too high

I tried your program, but after 5 minutes the temps reached 66C.....way too high..so I aborted the process.... I don't want to destroy the CPU.

Its stable, thats all I care..... I can play games and use Photoshop..no issues.

Your suggestion for uploading the photos, you still have to use a "URL" ..in this case..imageshack...which means..I have to uplaod the images to "imageshack"..then post the link here??

Right.

Default here goes

ImageShack - Image Hosting :: cpustresstest1.jpg

This was a "stress test" once the temps started to get around 69C core.. I stopped it.. it would continue of course... I am not sure how high the temps would go, at this point I would probably need water cooling to "stress test" for 24 hrs.

Cheers, Hermes

Hehe, try clicking the linpack mode then, you'll have a heart attack in the first 30 seconds I think.

Welcome to the forums

Sounds like possibly a bad stick of memory.

Try one at a time and you should be able to isolate any bad sticks, if that doesn't work, come back and we can try other things
