    E6750 Help

Hello im going to try and include as much as i can in the first post to get this sorted.

    System

    E6750
    P5N-D 750i SLI mobo
    4gb OCZ Ram PC-6400
    2 x 8800GT 512mb
    Corsair TX 750w PSU

Please correct me if i went wrong....

I read of few things and began working on it.
    Set the ram timings to 5 5 5 15
    FSB to 1600
Linked the timings and put them into "sync mode" as its called in the bios
    Now it says
    FSB 1600
    MEM 800

Left everything else as was and booted up, booted fine things looked good. Then 4hrs into orthos it failed. Now i dont really dont know what to change, i was thinking tweak up the Vcore a little looked and it was set to "auto". Since i dont know what it was already at i wasnt sure what to change it to. I started at 1.35v eventualy i got it to boot at 1.375v lasted for about 10 min then froze up. Nudged it to 1.38125 froze on boot up. I was going up the smallest steps i could for the voltage.

Do i need to change ram, NB, SB voltage or speed to ?

So any advice would help me a great deal.

Also i need some other things cleared up

    In cpu config i see some things: enabled(e) , disabled(d) and auto(a)

    CPU internal thermal control: a
    Limit CPUID MaxVal: d
    Enhanced C1 (C1E): e
    Execute Disable Bit: e
    Virtualization Technology: e
CPU multi: 8 , i changed this from 6 to 7 reading higher Multi is better most of the time, and it ran slower than stock ?, im assuming it was at 8 but not sure what went on there. I looked in CPUZ while orthos was testing at stock speeds after changing this and only this.
    Enhanced Intel Speedstep Tech.: d

So do i need to change any of these.

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forums

I haven't used a 750i board, so I'm just guessing, but you have done the basics right so far. To find what voltage the CPU is running at on auto, just open something like Everest and check the voltage...CPU-Z might do the trick too.

A couple of notches of NB voltage won't harm, and disabling the power saving options is often beneficial, but as I say, I haven;t used that board, so It's a guess

    Welcome!
    What's your CPU cooler?

    Thank you

Well i nudged the NB up one and left the Vcore on auto its booted and now stress testing. while i was in the bios i saw an option called AI tuning with 5, 10, 15 and 20% gain options. Are these any good or is better to do it manualy ?

I dont like playing with voltages and now its a waiting game

Also got real temp, core temp and everest running to check the temp there all within 3 to 4 degrees to one another so i think they should trust worthy. So far havent went above 62 but that number is high for my liking

12 hours of Prime 95 or Orthos is definately enough, and 62C is not that high; take into account that when you play games your CPU will be at around 50C as it won't be stressed as much.
