Default Talk RAM Voltages to me...

No dirty pun intended

I read on the side of the DIMMS 1.80v. But after reading through various forums including cosairs official forum this could be the version number or the voltage. I cant seem to find anybody giving me a conclusive stock voltage for my DIMMS. Little help please guys...

EDIT: Heres the URL for the DIMM data sheet on the Corsair webbie

The only reason i doubted it was that the smart guardian software that came with the board shows the voltage in a nice emergecy red colour when i put it upto 1.8v. CPU-Z also shows the voltage for the DIMMs as being 1.5V under the SPD tab. Can I be sure from the data sheet that this means voltage and not version?

It will be red coz 1.8 is high for DDR3 (1.5 nominal) but it is fine for ur mem. CPU-Z prolly shows the SPD as 1.5 coz that is prolly the closest JDEC spec to 1.8 IDK. On the datasheet it clearly says "Tested together at 1600MHz, Vdimm = 1.80V, at latency settings of 9-9-9-24" so 1.8V will be the voltage u should run it @.

Thanks AJW256. Once again you have stopped me from making foolish errors with my bios settings. I did read that your still at school in another post... I'm not entirly convinced that i shouldn't feel ashamed for not knowing these things when school children know them. Never the less, I'm new to this.

Keep up the good work mate!

No problem. U are new to this kind of thing & just need some experience & guidance. I've been doing these things since I was 12 (so a few years, I'm nearly 15 now). So it is impossible to know things u haven't learnt yet. There is no shame in learning things.
