Need help overclocking Q6600 to 3.4ghz

I just bought and built my new pc so here's the spec:

    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
    Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP
2GB of ram - OCZ Reaper HPC OCZ2 RPR 10662GK
    Sapphire Radeon HD 4870
Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 650w
And a thermaltake cpu cooler which i cant remember the name of, think it was the thermaltake 120.

Anyway, i've been following the C2D Overclocking Guide For Beginners P5K Add-On guide (C2D Overclocking Guide For Beginners P5K Add-On) and i'm a little stuck on the part where i up the FSB to 380 which boots fine but when i do a test with OCCT it comes up with crash code 1 after a minute or two. I tried putting the voltage up (starting at 1.4125 and then working my way up till i got to about 1.45 before i read its not a good idea to go any higher than that for my type of cpu).

It worked fine and OCCT gave a stable result at 3.0ghz.

Has anyone got any suggestions for what i could try?

    Welcome to the forums

Please add your full system specs to your profile (see my sig) and grab the P5K BIOS template from the sticky in the Intel overclocking section and post all your BIOS settings and we can help you out.

    Welcome
As Clunk says, we need to know All your BIOS settings, so grab a template fill it up and post it.
Also put your system specs in the User CP>Extra options, so we don't have to scroll the whole thread to find them.

I just realised the guide i followed was for the asus p5k deluxe whereas mine is the asus p5k premium. Where can i find a template for the premium? there doesnt appear to be one in the bios templates.

If there's not one for the premium, you could use the Deluxe one and add/remove items - or even post your own in that thread
