Mmmm, looking for a new mobo soon - you guys think the X38 is any good ? Had no probs with my P35 !

I've found X38 to be good. P35 isn't that older chipset so it's not going to be a huge leap from there. On my P5k P35 board I ran 3.6k 24/7 i'm now running 3.76k 24/7 not a major leap but in general can clock the same but with more stability. Benches are also about the same.

This board will be X48, which should allegedly see some performance gains over x38. Coupled with DDr3 this board will hopefully be no slouch.

I was going to wait untill later in the year before getting new gear but i've sold some stuff and i might just get something earlier !! X48 is looking promising !!

im still thinking x48 + ddr2, everyplace i have read says or showed very minimal real gains unless it drop in price as crazy as ddr2 is right now

Things seem to be changing on the NB Cooler Front
seems the 4 in 1 cooling may have gone, replaced by a Mars like NB Cooler.

When I click that link, I get a message saying "
Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)"


I could have sworn that I read on there the other day that the cooler in the pic was from an ES version?

I think if they send them out with that one on, they might lose a bit of the initial interest...possibly.

Yep the sattelite must be out of range :loL: I just tried & it worked but it's an awful link, I've often got the same nmassage, that's the reason i put the pic up

Foxconn Blackops X48: First quick results.
Some Others Results With Foxconn BlackOPS

So no 4in1 cooler, some ok results though
