I don't have a screenie of my Hanns-G but that is really only used for the test bench and when I game ...

You assume correctly.
I was curious about your Hanns G 28" as thats quite alot of screen real estate for not alot of money.
I had considered buying one for games. I dont use my PC for movies, photo editing or graphic design so precise colour representation is of little concern.

affiliate13 if you are in the market for a nice display I can warmly recommend you the HP LP2475w, H-IPS panel,24" absolutely stunning. And this is a first hand experience.

PC Pro: Product Reviews: Iiyama ProLite E2607WS
"Whether it beats a 24in TFT depends on usage - for detailed tasks like image editing we'd still go for sharpness over the extra size. But if you want a big, loud and startlingly affordable screen for all your entertainment needs, the Iiyama is a great choice."

the Hanns-G monitor is nice, but I would have liked it if it was a higher resolution, like a 30" (2650x1600). But for the price, it does the job well enough for games. The max resolution (1950x1200) is fine and it has a very decent gtg refresh ~5ms. I haven't watched many movies on it as I use it strictly for games and testing other rigs. The blacks aren't nearly as black as a Dell or HP, and it does suffer from some excessive backlighting at times. But all in all, it's fine for what I want it to do.

Everywhere i have seen is waiting on ETA. DFI are often slow to market, but they are usually worth the wait.
As soon as they are in stock somewhere i am sure someone here will post quickly. We have all been waiting for news on this board.
That said, if you see one for sale from a well regarded retailer, let us know

I keep forgetting you chaps are across the pond ... The major retailers in the States I think have them, but not many. The retailer Newegg where I bought mine, is already sold out. And another US retailer. Motherboard Pro, didn't even get the 30 or so they were promised. It looks to be a scarce board already ...
