Default Hi folks

Hi people,

do you know how refreshing it is to find a forum that speaks English? iam not saying anything bad about the other forums but ive lived in the states for a short time and its like a different planet. "oi where ya off? o just down the little store to git me some watar cooling componants" and actually finding that the store link you just clicked on isnt selling in $'s
or mentioning supersaver electronics hypermarket or such like (not mentioning any names)

first off Clunk you have done a brilliant job here, i spent weeks looking for overclocking info and i kept getting directed overseas until i got cpc mag yesterday and through that i found this sight.

a little about myself, ive been into computers since i was 11ish thats 29yrs ive seen a lot of changes and been disappointed a few. ive been wanting to mod and overclock for sometime but was too affraid (not having much confidence in myself) to try for fear of giving myself a new hair doo or even worse blowing my computer. so now i have read enough its time to put it into action. ill be keeping a worklog of the mod when i start it in a few weeks. iam a Graphic Designer (who is doing a degree) so i love all this vector art you see everywhere. this will help me with my modding i think (hope) i spent several years in the motor trade when i left school as a mechanic at first but then i went into body work (thats the creative side of me) so the sheet metal work and bogging will be useful too.

lastly (for now lol)
i need some kind of theme for my mod. i have a few ideas but iam not sure nothing has struck with me yet!
the ideas are:
Monster truck (there is so many auto cases done :{ )
Battlestar Galactica with flashy red cylon light (iam into electronics too (o and photography))
a castle theme (i love airbrushed brickwork)
a random celtic theme
and a flamed case
so any ideas would be good.

thanks again for a brilliant homegrown forum Clunk

Welcome to the forums (didn't see this thread, so you have 2 welcomes )

We are in CPCmag? First I've heard, but then again, no-one tells me anything

So, you are an old git? You should fit in well as there are a few of us that are old gits too

Interesting about the graphic design degree, what made you do that at your time of life then?

I used to know a car body fitter called Billy Bogg - Straight up.

Can't really help with modding ideas, I'm more of a minimalist, single colour (black) kind of person. No doubt someone else will be along to chuck their suggestions in though.

Anyway, glad you find the place useful, stick around and get posting

Mid 30's - 40 is about the right time for change. Look at the demographic for doing the OU for example.
