Ok thanks guys will remind you then as suspecting it needs a microcode update for the older 65nm Extreme Editions.

I dont think it is the
bios
because i have had my qx6850 standard and overclocked on the original
bios
and the latest final release
bios
and i had no problem.

Sold it now anyway as upgraded to an I7-965 instead!! (thats one way of solving the problem!!)
