Welcome to the forum,
Im not sure too many folks on here have this board, it may be tricky to advise you without one to play with.
I have heard they can be a real nightmare to get high clocks from.

Hopefully someone will post to help you out.

Thank you welcoming,

maybe i'll get no answer i take my chance, but it was nice reading you guys.

Here's yet another problem, i guess the only odd one, always the first attemp to start my pc it freezes to bios... doesn't go any further, push reset and starts well... wonder where it comes from.

Welcome to the forums

I think affiliate13 is right, no-one here has that board, or has used it, so we would be guessing.

The striker Extreme is a notoriously buggy board with multiple problems.

There are a few things we can suggest.

Make sure the BIOS is up to date.

Make sure your memory voltages and timings are set properly.

As you are using 4x modules, you might need to add some extra NB voltage.

The boot issue could be a few things, does the board have an error code display? What does it say when it stops?

Oh well, good choice sven
Guess i should have come visit your forum earlier...

BIOS updated - ok
Manufacturer timings are 9-9-9 25-34 667MHz, well actually i set them to 8-8-8 22-30 588MHz because I got way more transfer speed ( according to EVEREST)

Now i gradually set higher values for memory and NB, upped by 0.05v and 0.1v lately, conclusions are it's slowing down my pc, almost freezed when @0.1v added. Yet i don't know if it still freezes at boot, i'll see tomorrow when pc'll rest a little

I got no error message when freezing, and it only happens at the first boot of the day, weird.
It's when the motherboard screen appears... says ' Press F5 to enter BIOS etc...' that it happens.

Yet another problem( thought it would dissapear when upgrading ASUS PC PROBE, gives you live voltages and temperatures of elements) memory and vcore, only those 2, and for couple seconds, have their voltages dropping/increasing highly: vcore from 1.34 to 0.25 or memory from 1.76 to 3.5 or 0.32... wondering if the program shows wrong values.

I'll take any suggestions

* Core #0 @ 74°
Core #1 @ 70°
some neighbourhood for others

Is that too much?

I think that if the voltages are indeed rising that high, it would have killed the memory by now.

Either way, you might want to RMA the board, it's quite worrying.

74c is very high, is that under load, and what cooling are you using?

74c under load is still high, but borderline acceptable.
