can opteron 146 use registered memory??

Hi,
have picked up some server memory and was wondering if it could be used in my wifes pc she has an opteron 146 running on Asus A8N-SLI SE Socket 939 Motherboard if it is ok to use then I will throw it in her system to give it a well needed injection in the arm but I did not want to install it if it was going to mess up the modules are infineon HYS72D256320GBR-6-B they are pc2700 and are 2 gig sticksx2 hope someone out there can help me with this please???

Seem to recall it doesn't work with S939 boards....... hang about, I'll find some info....
