Default XP when boot up Freeze!!

Hu guys this past few days i've been messing around to see if i can get my CPU to OC more like around 3.5 to 3.6. All of the sudden now when i boot up win xp pro with sp3 while loading it just freeze up i run memtest to see if my ram are bad but everything seem fine no error.I even revert back to default settings still it freeze while loading xp what could cost the problem? Is my CPU gone bad? or my raid 0 broken?or should i reformat and try to install the OS again?

Thank YOu

Does it just freeze up? No error messages?
I think it's a data corruption issue, you could try to put in the XP CD and do a repair when asked.

What i meant was that maybe the damage was limited and you would have been fine with a repair wich is quick and you keep windows as it was (installed programs, configuration, etc) and you just have to update again.

Blue screens usually result from memory issues. I'd try running with 2x modules & see if the problem still occurs. Use Memtest HCI to test your ram.

try running Memtest HCI Memtest86 doesn't always pick up all errors. see Memtest86+ v Memtest HCI link. in above post.

I rememeber reading here that tRFC too low can cause data corruprion?
It's a timing of the NB, but it regards the memory access or something i think, so it may account for the blue screens too. Set it to something between 60 and 70?

Edit: here you go with an explanation of trfc: Tech Powerup - Memory Timings Explained
