Default Anyone using a Jetway HA04 or other 790fx/600sb?

I am going to be building my very first AMD system is over 6 years next week. I ordered the JetWay HA04-Extreme motherbaord and Phenom 9600 BE from Newegg.

Does anyone have this motherboard that might be able to give me some tips or advice about things with it?

I plan to run 2 HD 4850's in xfire and 2 Raptors in RAID 0.

Since it has been quite some timne since I built an AMD system, could someone point me to any guides that might help me with this build?

Thanks

I haven't heard of that one.

The majority of the readers on here have Intel based systems, so we don't have any AMD guides.

How come you are going for an AMD system?

And expecially why is not a cheap one? AMD is not competitive in the medium high performance part of the market, while it has a lot of intersting cheap offerings.

Clunk,

I appreciate your reply and for asking the "Intel" question without being like many are. (nasty)

Anyway, I have been doing Intel for years and just decided to give an AMD system a try. Fortunately I have the money to have both so I want to play around with it and see what its like...

Thanks

I'd like to say a couple of things:

-RAID 0 scares me a little: any problem with one HD and everything is gone, and i'm not talking hardware failure of a disk, but say a quirk of the controller chip, wich is rare but can happen;
-the stock cooler of the HD4850 is not effective, i'd go for aftermarket solutions, expecially since you are going for a dual configuration.
