Welcome to the forums Tom

I haven't used that board myself, but if you post all your BIOS settings, we can have a look.

Welcome to the forums
I see from your system specs that you are using stock cooling.
I think that before you attempt any overclock you should get a better cooling solution, or you will have overheating problems and the system would most likely be unstable.
If you don't cool your CPU adequately when overclocking, failure in a short period is also a possibility.
But don't worry too much, there are coolers that offer excellent performance at very reasonable prices.

Hello, here is a post i made earlier you might useful
These are good but expensive and you need to buy your fans separately
http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_pa...ler_u120ex.htm

I use one of these, they are cheap and work, but you should look at getting the extra bolt thorugh kit as the push pin design isnt as good.
XIGMATEK

These are similar to the xigmatek and also very good value.
OCZ Technology | Products | Cooling Products | OCZ Vendetta 2 CPU Cooler

Again these are very similar to the last two but also good. Core contact freezer
WELCOME!!!! << SUNBEAMTECH >>

these are still popular but quite tall.
Tuniq - Tower 120 Cooler

If you want silence then noctua do some nice coolers that are expensive but quiet, you can probably switch the fans that come with these list above for one of the noctua fans if you feel they are too loud.

I concur with Affiliate13, i would like to ask if you are concerned about noise levels, the looks of the coolers and fans, etc...

Default noise no probs

i have 2 120mm fans on the side of my case with blow holes on outer side i get lots of air movement through the case but sounds like a big vac. so noise not a issue useally have the tunes up 2 drown out fans.

A Xigmatek or a Ultra 120 Extreme with 2 fans in push-pull could be an excellent solution.

The Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F will push a lot of air, using two should be enough for any 24/7 overclock on air, but if you are pushing for the last 2 or 3 C, the Silverstone SST-FM121 is a bad boy, 2 are almost overkill.
Using even more powerful fans, like Delta models, should be reserved in my opinion for overclocking competitions.
