Default Western Digital Raptor WD360ADFD 36 GB, Raid 0, Error :(

hi guys,

i have build up a raid 0 with 2 of the HD´s named above.
when i boot up my system, my raid tool from my DFI Board shows a red message "Error Occured (0)", BUT Windows Vista boots up normally and doesn´t crash or something like that.
I allready tried to find a soultion, and one thing i found is that it could be a SMART Error in one HD, but because they are bound in a Raid the mistake can´t be found by any diagnostics tool

any ideas??

greez

I haven't used the RAID on this board, but what about the intel utils? There must be something in there that will test it out?

Have a look on the intel site for it...I think it might be called matrix manager or something similar

Did you build the Raid using the Intel Raid Storage Manager ??
I find it easier to use that for all raid creation etc.,

Only real solution is to break the array & test the Frive in question using Western Digitals's support tools

It may be that you have had an false report due to a memory error or something.
