Default 2GB Kit Crucial PC 8500 Ballistix DDR2 Replacement.

Looks as if one of my sticks has gone bad & to be honest i've never really been happy with them running on my Gigabyte DS3-P motherboard. Can anyone recommend some reasonably priced overclockable DDR2?
Cheers.

DDR2 RAM Computer Memory Upgrade for Desktop and Laptop Computers

£44 for the Reaper stuff and at that speed you won't need to overclock it much I don't think.....

For that price you can find also Kingston HiperX 9200.
Not that they are better, but if you can find them in a shop that is closer to you they are good too.

Agreed.

No real need to overclock memory unless it's for benching and that stuff is plenty fast

2GB is ususally plenty for XP Pro X32, 2GB kits seem to clock higher than 4GB ones too.

But if you feel you need more than 2GB then installing 4GB will give you access to 3.25ish depending on VGA RAM, this will all be in dual channel which can make a difference to synthetic scores but not loads to real world results i think.

Correct me if im wrong fellas.
