Hi DualCore, C1 error code is usually a memory error code telling you the memory is damaged or faulty. So try taking out all your sticks of RAM and start with just one stick at a time, and try each stick in each slot. See if you can boot with one stick at a time in.

It might just be one stick, DualCore. And you can always return them if they are faulty and get new ones or buy different ones.

Which reapers are they? I there is a problem with some of the 2x2GB kits and they have to be reprogrammed. Wether this is 100% correct or not is something that OCZ could tell you for sure.

Assuming the RAM is compatible, it could just be faulty.

Will either of the sticks run on their own?

Edit: didn't see godsdogs reply.

Sounds like the same problem as someone else here had, I think OCZ told him they needed re-programming.

Best to check with OCZ to be sure though.

Did you say you tried them 1 stick at a time?

You should get in contact with OCZ, they will be able to help you if it is a compatibility problem

I am the gentleman whom has the same problem

Apparatnly Award has altered the bios code a little as to incorrectly detected the SPD timings on the RAM. I have to send my OCZ Reaper PC2 8000 ram back to re-flashed. Incidently I have the X38 DK DFI.

I also get the C1 error
