Default Mobo Dilemma- Down to three...

Hi

First time on here and I hope you can help...

I recently bought a new Asus P5K Premium mobo to complete my new build (Q6600 G0, Nvidia 7950GT, 2x1Gb DDR2-800). I got it through a mate who's brother works in a PC shop. When I hooked it all up and went to start the new PC I got absolutely nothing except the fans coming on.

I checked all the other parts on my old machine and found the mobo to be faulty.

As it is, the shop has no more P5K Premium's in stock but have offered me a choice of either waiting around ten days until they can get another or taking one of the following at no extra cost:

Abit IP35 Pro
Abit IX38 QuadGT

He also suggested they might order a P5K from elsewhere if they can't get one within a few days.

So what would you guys recommend? Wait for the P5K Premium (I got mate's rates so taking the money elsewhere won't fund any of these) or take one of the Abit's? If so, which one?

I'm looking to overclock to anywhere from 3.2-3.6GHz and don't mind spending time getting there. I'll also be upgrading the 7950GT in the near future if that makes a difference.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums

P5K are good boards, IP35 is well regarded, personally, I can't recommend the IX38, it was awful.

If you put your system specs in your profile extra options, that will help
