    Enermax Galaxy PSU & X38 Compatibility Issue.

    I've been Emailing Enermax regarding the issues I have been experiencing with the Asus Maximus Formula SE and the Enermax Galaxy 1k.

    At first, they weren't aware of any problems, but now they have had more reports, and it is looking like us Galaxy owners will have to RMA our PSUs.

    So, here are the symptoms that I've been having;

    Weird beeps on start up and shut down.
    PC wont restart, no matter what. It has to be powered off at the switch.

    Please leave your Galaxy model number here (i.e. EGX1000EWL) and the details of your fault and your full system specs.

    Also, please let me know if you have another type of X38 motherboard, or even another type of PSU and are having similar problems.

    Thanks

    "You know, owning an Enermax Galaxy 1K is a lot like making love to a beautiful woman...You start by rummaging around in the box, carefully turning her on until she emits a high pitched whine and fries your equipment."

    Dunno about that mate, I had the exact same probs with the Commando, but they gave me a new revision and that sorted it.

    I love it - rolling PSU revisions for mobos ...
    won't work with my 680i - OK have this revision, it will.
    I've changed to a Commando & now this won't work with that - OK, we'll swap that 1 for this.
    This now won't work with my X38 - You had better have this revision then.
    etc. etc. etc.

    Well, I spoke to Enermax the other day and they reckon they can't find any incompatibilities between the Maximus and the Galaxy...it's weird how its the exact same fault as before...maybe it is just faulty? Works with the P5K though

    Are Enermax telling porkies , or just got short memories.
    ENERMAX 1KW PSU fails to power 8800 GT
    Enermax have answered. They claim no one (in the UK) has made such a claim before and even asked me to give them that link to Newegg, which I did.
