And this is weird. I just extracted and it only lagged at the end.

Just tried Winace, same deal.

The next question is; does this all happen on the same drive; so if you just extracted large file from C:\desktop to C:\desktop it would be the same deal?

How about running a windows check disk? (or whatever its now called on Vista )...Some weird things can be fixed with that.

Right...I copied the fan to my E: then extracted to C. I had no real issues, things where a tad sluggish (nothing major).
