I did update and everything is fine

For some reason I tried extracting the file again and it worked fine (even before installing).

Do you guys think it's worth going to a newer chipset? As these drivers date back to november 06 :/

The questions you ask yourself are ..."do I need any of the stuff that an update can bring" - "does it bring any more security / stability" - "does it add any features that I need" - "what does this update do for me"

If the answer to those types of questions is, yes, then an update is in order. If the answer is, no, then you stay where you are.

Well I could do with more SATA ports.

I could probably squeeze another 200-400mhz out of my chip.

I'd welcome not having this stupid stutter.

Cheers for your help

Nay problem, Robert. Just make sure you take suitable precautions before you update anything - always backup your stuff.

Just unzipped a 4gb file...same problem.

Really annoying. At times it's like my PC has locked up.
