Started again.
I was running on 3.2GHZ for over a week now without any problems, I tried to go 3.3GHZ it crashed and got into "boot lop", I did battery clear, tried to go back into running 3.2GHZ lop again.
I did battery clear and running on stock for now but this all dance with vista crushing while trying to start, ruined Vista's install and no repair is possible but to reinstall vista (lilo got broken too so I can't boot into Slackware), I'm using my brothers computer for now.

Yep, sorry i thought you had the LT X48 T2R.
I just off out now, ill have a look when i get back. Hopefully we can find something.

OK, Back now. I would haave expected more NB voltage for 8GB than the 1.29v you are using.
Could you try maybe 1.39 for a bit anf see if that cures it, you can pull it back down some if it helps.

I did that:
CPU VID Special Add: +25.0mV
NB Core Voltage: 1.392V
Changed the FSB to 400 (for 3.2GHZ) and it went into booting lop again.
Something not right I tested the memory and the cpu in my brothers comp again to make sure they're not the problem from what I can see.

What makes it worse is my need to do battery CMOS clear, I don't understand why it won't let me clear the CMOS any other way, I'm thinking to go on to the previous BIOS.

Can you try with the old set of 4GB in one set of DIMM slots and then in the other.
Finally repeat with the new 4GB kit in one pair of DIMM slots and again in the other.

Just to rule out both the RAM and slots.

This might be a pain but maybe try your brothers PSU in your system too, could be it suffered during the power failure too.

Hope you get some results soon. Sounds like a real headache.

Yes, i saw you had tried various things with the RAM, i just wanted to make sure this issue wasnt linked to the DIMM slots.

I only mention it as my 2x2GB will not stay stable at 1081mhz with any Vdimm in my green slots but will run happily in the yellow with tightened timings.

I wondered if your situation my be similar.
