DDR3 Prices on the rise again?
I had my eye on a cheap OCZ 2x1GB kit till my others arrive and I was going to buy it last night at £99 yesterday but got sidetracked, anyway, today it's at £137, similarly other kits have gone up by a similar amount.
Has anyone else noticed this?

I said quite a while ago that prices would go up on lots of stuff as the pound went back down to $1.50/60 levels. But it's gone down even further. Glad I bought kitfits E8500, they're like £160/70 now. I always thought the $2 dollar to a £1 was just a blip, good while it lasted though.

I realise the dollar/pound thing is changing all the time, but some stuff is up almost 40%, so I thought there might be something else at play?

More demand of DDR3 because of Core i7? Now the OEMs are probably starting to pile up on DDR3 before the Christmas price rise and possible component shortage.

On the subject of DDR3, what is one of the Better 1600MHz kits around at the moment? I'm running the 1333MHz Corsair stuff at the Mo and I'm not a RAM guru.

Sorry Dave. 2x2Gig kit I reckon. I don't see any point in going for more for what I do. I don't really need it faster, just more clockable. These DDR3 kits for the x58, are they the compatible with the current x48s???
Oh. You're up early
