Default 1066 Ram for DFI LanParty X48-T2R

hi everyone,

first of all, my native language is not english, please bear with me

now the serious stuff xD

i want to get some new, faster RAM for my system:

DFI LanParty X48-T2R
QuadCore Q9450
Sparkle 9800Gtx
Raid 0: 2*WD Raptor 74gb; 2*Seagate 500gb
RAM used so far: Mushkin XP2-6400 4-4-4-12 (2x2048MB) 996580W
this is 800 Fsb RAM and i want 2 try sth. faster, due to OC on my CPU

i have allready found 2 new examples, but i´m also open for any other suggestions:

1.) Mushkin XP2-8500 5-5-5-15 (2x2048MB) 996599

2.) Crucial DIMM 2 GB DDR2-1066 BL2KIT12864AL1065

can any one tell me sth. about them, recommend any of them, or as allready said suggest any "better"

greetz

Pretty much any branded 1066MHz kit will do the same job nowadays. There was a time when D9 was all the rage, but for day to day computing it makes no difference.

It should be about price and warranty really on this type of kit.

You can get small advantages by getting faster DDR3, but the price is generally prohibitive.

DDR3 seems to work best at higher bandwidth, but I would say that the best way to increase performance is to add more memory.

More = faster for a lot of things

The Mushkin 8500's seem to have become good of late. Also have a good look at OCZ. Sometimes they don't overclock as far as others, but they are rock solid stable. I would avoid anything made by Crucial. They have a horrendus mortality rate and will probably spend more time in RMA than they ever do in your rig.
