Default What's Been Your Product of The Year 2008?

We've seen lot's of nice new stuff this year, but what has been the highlight for you? It doesn't have to be something we've reviewed, but it must be something you have used or owned.

As long as it's relatively techy/PC/electronics related then it is eligible.

I think mine has to be the DFI JR P45-T2RS, just because it worked so well with no fuss and it's an mATX board!

I believe it's gotta be the Powercolor HD4870 PCS+, i still am running it with stock cooling, it's so good that i only modified the fan profile flashing the BIOS and put Thermalright goo on the VRM instead of the stock chewing gum, the GPU only goes up to 60-64C during games, the VRM section is even cooler and that is with a 800/1100 oveclock, and since my screen has a 1680x1050 resolution, it simply is overkill performance wise.
So for 10€ more than the vanilla HD4870 you can get a procuct that does not need significant (and expensive) hardware mods to run cool and silent.
One year ago i bought a vanilla HD3870 for 250€: it wasn't nowhere near the performance level of this one even for the time, had big performance problems with AA, ran scorching hot (92C GPU while gaming), and was VERY noisy.

Also the DFI LP LT X48 T2R was an excellent buy, only downside being the price (i had to fork out 260€ for it).
But it's light years ahead of any other motherboard i've ever used, rock solid stability and great overclocking and tweaking possibilities.

The E8600 is also an excellent product, but in day to day performance i see no improvement at all over my old E6750.

I think that card of yours was a great buy.

The X48 T2R has been a fabulous board for me too, hasnt put a foot wrong bar one little oddity with vcore special add but nothing that stops me doing what i want. end result is the same.

I mentioned the E8600 as i have never had a chip that just screamed all the way to 5ghz (post not boot) a milestone i thought i wouldnt see without advanced cooling. who knows i might be luck an be able to bench at that when i get my liquid kit.
