Default DFI Dk p45 t2rs plus overclocking

just wondering is i could get a little guidance into maybe reaching 3.6 stable on my Q6600 with this motherboard?

Got the following components :-Q6600 slacr go step (watercooled @27 c idle) (vid 1.3)

dk p45 t2rs plus (bios 2008 10 03)

Giel 6400 ddr2 4 x 1gb 4-4-4-12 1.95v

Currently stable at 3.2 ghz with the following settings :- 400x8 multi(doesn't like 9 multi for some reason)

cpu core @ 1.37 v

sb core-1.55v

fsb vtt 1.21v

nb core 1,24v

vdroop enabled

clockgen volt 3.45v-untouched

cpu gtl ref volt 0/2--67x

cpu gtl ref volt 1/3 --67x

nb gtl--67x

fsb verf--auto

pcie clock--1oo

Finding it hard to reach 3.6 stable.Had it boot into windows and run half a 3dmark 06 run b4 crashing

Not sure either what would be the recommended safe volts to use 24/7

Also got a slightly strange problem in that it will only boot up 2nd time.

first time round it hangs on 26 on the bios code led, restarts, then boots up into windows fine?

kinda strange?Wondering if anyone could shed any light into why it does this?

Thanks in advance Gho5ty

Hey there, welcome to the forums.
I think the first thing you should do is increase the NB voltage, with a overclocked quad and 4 sticks you need more than that, i'd try 1.35 then 1.4 then 1.45 and see if you gain stability.
Failing that i'd increase the Vtt a little bit, try and keep it under 1.3, but even small amounts can make a difference so go in small steps, say approximately 0.01v at once.

Nailed it

Cheers for the advice guys

Got it stable with 175.0mv= 1.424v

nb set to 1.3575

cpu vtt at 1.265v

dram at 2.0v slackened off to 5-5-5-15

Take it these volts will be good for 24/7 useage?

Or should I try tinker further to maybe slightly lower them if they seem excessive???

Does any one know why this board will only boot 2nd time round?

!st attempt always ends up in a restart a bit like my old asus p5b deluxe???

Glad you got it sorted

24/7 should be fine as long as you keep everything nice and cool.
