Default Hard drive issues

Guys,

Having hard drive issues, I think .. When I power on, the system posts fine. Recently, it started to give me this : Disk not in Drive, Insert disk and press Enter .. So, checked BIOS, made sure disk priority was given to Hard Drive .. then checked the Hard Drive configurations and it had the first drive (primary) as bkbkbkbkbkbkb, and the second was listed properly like WDC 6400and so on ... Do you think I have a corrupted primary drive? Virus, in computer? Ran AVG with no issues noted ..

Thoughts? Failing primary drive? Thanks!

Try running chkdsk and see what it comes up with. This is the Velociraptor, yes?

You got any program that can report S.M.A.R.T. information?

If you run the Data Lifeguard Diagnostics tool from the latest Data Lifeguard (11.2) it should give a reasonable insight into the state of the drive.
