Default what display?

im about to get a new flatscreen.

any of you who have any thoughts about the

eizo HD2441 750euro
Dell 2709w 620euro
HP 2475 520euro

or any other Good monitor?

what i like with the eizo is the light sensor and 5 year warranty.
what i like with the dell is the "bigger pixels" and all the small features.

the hp is just a H-ips screen and would be a budget decision but i could problably buy som LG display quite cheap (via a contact who works there)

Im after gr8 picture quality, a long lasting companion. and viewing angles are important.
i ordered the eizo since it was 100euro cheaper in one color so i figured now or never on that one..
but I can still change my mind.

atm. im thinking if the 130euro cheaper dell is a better buy, even though i think that the eizo has its advantages.

any help is appreciated and most welcome.

If you want the last word in quality and colour accuracy for photoshop work (for example) then the Eizo it is.

But if you think you don't need the last word and want to save money then add the BenQ FP241W, next to the Dell, it's another option.

On a personal note, if it was me and I was doing a one off purchase and I had the money to burn, and I used the monitor every day for a wide range of uses, then I'd pay the extra for Eizo quality, you wouldn't regret it.

*By the way, that Eizo model over here in the UK averages out at around the 1,169.36 EUR mark, so you have a bargain from what I see.

I will buy in maximum 2weeks the HP LP2475. It has a H-IPS panel and its supposed to be very good. And believe me, i have read a lot about 24" gaming displays this weeks .

yea the hp seems to be a good monitor, reviews and many users do like it.

but a user at a swedish forum had unbelievable backlightbleed with it, and i do miss the light regulator with the eizo and the 3" with the dell..

but i think the dell went to the trash because of numerous reports of extensivly high input lag.

the only thing that makes me not wanna buy the eizo is falling prices and the new model wich is a little bit better, but formost has a remote and 24hz input capabilities.. (maybe not for everyday use but still)

Don't count the Iiyama series out, although they are cheaper than the EIZOs they can beat them on some fronts.

If back-light bleed bothers you then forget TN. The vertical viewing angles are truly piss poor on any TN despite what anyone says to the contrary. And you wouldn't notice any real world difference in response times on modern monitors (even Dell tidied up input lag up on later models). This coming from someone who has a great TN Samsung at home and is happy with it's quality; couldn't care less about back-light bleed because you don't see it when the monitor is working, couldn't care less about horizontal viewing angles because I don't sway from side to side on the seat when working - however, vertical viewing angle does bother me sometimes because TN are just so piss poor in that department and I do stretch upward and downward when viewing. I've lived on decent TN's for years, work and home, and been happy, but the next monitor will not be TN.

I've cancelled my order on the HD2441 for some reasons

and ill get myself a Eizo 2431 (since same panel but not all the features i dont need) + thinner frame +cheaper (some atleast) + for the money i save i could upgrade to a 4870 from a 4670 or just buy 2 4850 insted of one.. or one instead of none

but if i didnt have a projector for my entertainment such as highres movies, Xbox, TV.. id buy the Hd2441 any day..

Why the sudden change of mind?

A: Talked to Eizo Sweden, and two calls later and some nice shitshatting later, I, via help from the flexscan lineup manager, decided to go for the same panel but without the highquality hdmi input (aka not a built in dvi converter like some cheaper brands use.. but acctually diffrent hardware decoding) present in the 2441/2442 series which left me with a computer-use adapted monitor Eizo 2431.

now i just cant figure out if i want it delivered to my door (30E) tomorrow evening or via package depot (FREE) friday.

oh and i also intend to "ghost pruchase (cost about 4euro)" the dell 2709 just to compare the two (aka have 2 monitors for a week) then annul the purchase of the dell.. or any other monitor i should review.

oh whell just a status report

You've done well there, moreempty, I think you've made the right decision going with the Eizo and it'll be interesting to see what you make of the difference between the Eizo and Dell. I know what the main difference for me was.
