Could anyone tell me what this means, please
"Attempt to Reset Display Driver and Recover from Timeout Failed"
Is it specific to Radeon cards?
Is it a minor fault or something more serious?
cheers

Is it overheating?
If not try removing the drivers and run ccleaner both cache and registry.
Then try Cat10.2

I haven't got a Radeon card mate, should maybe have mentioned that
just seen a nvidia card with this error and wanted to know what it was...had a quick look and i can only find it associated with Radeon cards, except for that one nvidia
Does it mean the card is borked?

Do you have another PC you can try the card in?
Not sure tbh, i'll have a think over some garlic chicken....

I don't have the card...i was thinking of pairing it with mine, but it would come with this "fault"
..but as i mentioned, the only other cards i can find with this fault are Radeon cards
If it does have this error and is an easy fix then happy days...if not then I'll pass
Hope the Garlic Chicken was nice![]()
Hard to know without more checking really.
If you cant get it and play with it first this might give you more clues.

I have seen a nVIDIA card (a brand new GTS250 green) give me a driver error every time I tried to send the windows test page to a printer, sometimes it would recover but most of the time I would need a hard reset. That is with Win 7 x64.
The card was fine when working with 3D apps.
I think it could've been a driver issue and I plan on updating the drivers as soon as I put my hands on that PC again, but right now I can't be of help.
OK mate, thanks
all I was trying to find out is if the card is borked
If it's just a driver issue with w7 x64 then i might reconsider but i'm not sure i want a life of misery where i'm constantly having the drivers conflict.
Is it possible it's not just a fault with the card? otherwise wouldn't all cards using the same driver have this isssue![]()
Possibly a specific driver release acting up in presence of some specific 3rd party software?
Can you try the card with an older driver release? If so, and the problem does not show up, it's possible it will be gone in the next update?
I was looking to buy the card so can't test, unfortunately
If this isn't a long term problem or doesn't mean the card is borked then i may have a punt
