Default Grid Controller woes !!

Had Grid for a bit now and flaky support for the joypad ( old sidewinder )

so came across an item for modding an Xbox controller for the PC

Luckily enough i had one knocking about !!! so seeing as wasn't up to anything else i'd see if it'd work

Xbox Controller PC Conversion Mod Guide | Fury-Tech

had a pop at the above link and kin 'ell it works

So any probs hurry on to the next link and it's trouble free racing !

Codemasters forum - XBCD XBox360 controller Preset

My controller is was/is an old Xbox one not the 360 variety even so i installed the 360 drivers seeing as i had nothing to loose and jobs a good 'un

Hope this of some use to someone ..... LOL drove me nuts ( pun intended ) having a pad without proper support !

You can also get hold of PS2 gamepad adapters for the PC. I've had one of these in the past as a have a collection of PS2 controllers.
You cant beat the old mouse and WASD combination for FPS's though and I got hold of a Logitech G25 for driving games. The only problem now is that I cant blame the controller now for bad driving!

Actually you can just download the drivers for free and plug in an existing 360 controller (wired version). It's exactly the same.

Yeah, i did suspect that since we sell both version where i work and they actually look the same.
That, and my brother bought a Logitech PS3 wheel, wich costed him 5 Euros less than the PC model that was visually identical and downoaded the drivers, and the thing works like a charm.
I guess it's just cheaper to manufacture one controller and put them in different packages.
