They're being given a test spin over the next few weeks, while I wait for a new board, my Ultima-90 is going to live on an IP-35 / E4400, so you'll have stock Intel cooler/Mine/Ultima-90.

Intel cooler is the winner so far

...not really, everything at stock, the Intel cooler is a good 6 degrees off the running compared with the other two. I'll just update the thread when I get results in.

I would have thought the Intel cooler would have been more than 6c higher...maybe that will be more obvious when you overclock it with a bit more voltage?

by the time he re-did the maths from the software readings and the BIOS readings it's more like 8 - 9. I'm giving him a class tomorrow and handing over some AS5, he's already been studying the guide for beginners, so I'll be asking questions making sure he's ok with everything. This is a "broadening your computing horizons" experience for him, or a, "give you something to mess with now you're retired" experience, but I'll make sure I get something meaningful out of it, might just take a bit longer than normal that's all.

...and I suspect the paste that came with the Mine is crap.
