Default Arctic Cooling Extreme

Freezer XTREME Looks like it might be interesting. Their coolers have been good but pretty mid range in cooling power , that may change with this 160w worth of cooling

If it is around the £20 and stays around the £20 mark it'll be very interesting indeed. Look forward to hearing more.

Interesting to read that it comes with a 6-year warranty as well........ tbh I'd never even wondered about hs/f warranties before...... .

I think the warranty is important for those with a fan included, i doubt Thermalright sees many of its coolers again after they are shipped away...

Anyway it looks promising, probably will have one of the best price/performance ratios, but it's in the same price range of the Xigmatek HDTs he'll have some competition for sure... And at 600 g i hope they include a backplate, even though looking at they price again they probably won't.

I saw a version of this cooler in some pics of the Arctic Cooling stand at CeBit somewheres, i wondered when it might be available. I still use the F7Ps on builds for friends, so this could be a nice replacement - price permitting.

Must admit I missed that. I did actually RMA a thermalright Ultra 120 last year when i 1st moved to C2D. Was getting appaling cooling, not sure what it was. Felt a bit of a wally RMAing it, but it was the right thing to do replacement was fine.

Yes the market is getting quite interesting again atm with the HDTs as well. Even if you have to shell out a £5 for a bolt thru kit it will still be good value.
