Default TRUE no longer best cooler?

Heres what this guy reckons, any one know anything about this review site?

Take for example the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme: most enthusiast like to modify this product by lapping the surface and adding additional mounting pressure by using a washer. But to that same (unecessary) extent, you could file and polish the mating surface of any one of the Heat-pipe Direct Touch coolers and use bolt-on backplate mounting to exert the same benefit.

I think it's one review and not borne out elsewhere ...yet.

There are a couple of other ones too, but i dont really know these review sites well so i suppose i am suspicious of their methods.

Everyone else out there reckons the TRUE and formerly the Tuniq Tower rule the roost.

However it is interesting that a cooler costing significantly less is getting so much praise, albiet from review sites i dont really know too well (im not knocking them, i just dont know em)

I do seem to remember several reviews of the OCZ Freeze doing well in tests too. I suppose its prolly best as you say to keep an eye on the bigger reviewers to see if the results appear consistent.

Maybe OCZ will send Clunk one to try eh?

I have seen another review that said similar, but as Godsdog says, more reviews are needed..... don't know when that might be though, I don't think any of these coolers are available here yet are they?

HDT coolers seem to be ruling the roost at the moment. various reviews have the OCZ vendaetta v2 & Xigmatek HDT-S1283 vying for top spot. There 's alsop a new Xigmatek Achilles S1284 which i quiet fancy the loook of. The only crap thing about these is the plastic pushpins. I think coupled with a decent bolt thru kit they'll be great.

I bought the xigmatek S1283 and it keeps my Q6700 nice and cool... Only $37 shipped at Newegg too.

BTW, Xigmatek will release bolt thru kits in the near future.

Has anybody tried the Scythe Orochi? ...and if so did you notice if it influences local gravity?
